Mr. Jack Kai LEI

Managing Director at Beijing office, in charge of the Firm’s international practice. LL.M. Harvard Law School (1988), LL.M., Wuhan University and LL.B., Southwest Institue of Politics & Law, Doctorate studies at University of Paris I – La Sorbonne in France, specializing in foreign direct investment (JV/WFOE), international merger & acquisition, technology transfers and licensing, distribution, intellectual property, restructurings, financings, corporate, overseas investment and M&A by Chinese groups. Mr. Lei developed his international legal skills during more than 10-years’ practice with international law firms such as Coudert Brothers Paris office and Paris-based firm Thieffry & Associes, where he advised on transnational investment projects, and was directly involved in more than 50 Sino-foreign Joint Ventures or WFOE and international BOT projects, while advising such large multinational companies in their China projects as ABB, Carrefour, Elfi, Alstom, BNP, GAP, Lacoste, Total, Sumitomo, Samsung Electronics, and Halla Concrete and Bank of China etc..

Mr. Lei is the Assist. Editor and a co-author of the book “Business Law in China”, published by ICC in 1997．Co-author of the book “La distribution en Chine”(bilingual Chinese and French) published by Thieffry et ass.. He has published more than 10 articles or books on Chinese and international business law topics in French (JDI-Clunet, JDAI/IBLJ) and Chinese law journals.He speaks English, French and Mandarin.

Ms. Crystal Mo JIN

Practice at Beijing and Shanghai Branches. MBA at Rennes International School of Business in France, LL.B. obtained at Renmin University of China (RUC). Ms. Jin specializes in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), international Merger and Acquisition and corporate issues.

Before joining Kunlun Law Firm, she worked for Zhong Yin Law Office and French international corporations both in business (marketing and purchase) and legal fields (legal advise on FDI projects in China). She has been actively involved in several large and sophisticated transnational M&A deals concerning automobile components and pharmaceutical, and also contributed her talents in other FDI projects concerning mining, energy and other industries, M&A and corporate restructuring, international trade contracts, intellectual property, distribution, franchising etc.. Ms. Jin was fully involved in the project of stock transfer of Topfond Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd to Sumitomo Corporation, and contributed to the successful closing of this project. Ms. Jin has also advised a French company on the enforcement of an international arbitral award in the courts of the PRC.

She speaks fluent French, English and Mandarin.

Mr. Shoujian WANG

Vice Director at Shanghai office. LL.M. at economic law of Wuhan University PRC, LL.M. of international economic and commercial law of Liverpool UniversityUK. Mr. Wang is specialized in company law, banking law, contract law and international commercial law, litigation and arbitration. Mr. Wang provides legal service for many international company groups, includingCitigroup Shanghai branch(USA), Muhlhan Surface Protection (Shanghai) Co., Ltd(Germany), Cliden Shanghai Branch(Netherlands), the Millennium (Shanghai) Hotel(Singapore), Gangzhou Socop Lamps Co., Ltd(France), Everbright Bank Shanghai branch(China), SGSB Group Co., Ltd. (China) He is experienced on M&A transactions, in particular international commercial laws and corporate issues.

Mr. Wang speaks English and Mandarin.

Dr. Rongguo HU

Managing Director at Shenzhen office. SJD at WuhanUniversityLawSchool (1998), LL.M. obtained at law school of New York University. Dr. Hu is specialized in WTO law, company law, FDI, international trade, international banking law, M&A, litigation and arbitration. Dr. Hu has been the chief lawyer of Dapeng Securities Co.,Ltd. He has worked for Linyi & Tidor, Partners in the U.S., and learned the experiences of company laws, finance and real estate laws of New York. Dr. Hu is experienced and advised on many projects.

Dr. Hu speaks English and Mandarin.

Dr. Jun CHENG

Ph.D. and Maitrise de droit, University of Paris I, LL.M. of Renmin Univ. of China(RUC). Lecturer on company law and financial law at LawSchool, RUC.

Admitted at both Paris Bar and Chinese Bar. Dr. Cheng specializes in FDI and corporate, M&A, competition, international arbitration and European Union affairs. Worked with international and governmental organizations such as International Foundation of Human Rights, Political and Institutional direction, EU Brussels, European Court of Human Rights and Legal Division of Chinese Ministry of Culture. He advises and represents French and European companies, international organizations (in particular NGOs), and Chinese enterprises in their China and transnational business operations.

He speaks Mandarin, Francais and English.

Mr. Yuping HE

LL.M. at Southwest University of Political Science and Law (1998) in China, studied in the USA at University of Cincinnati Management Science College (2002). Mr. He is specialized in real estate law, corporate law, contract law, company restructure, project financing, litigation and arbitration. Mr. He provides legal council service for many company groups and is very experienced on real estate development projects and corporate issues.

Mr. He has undertaken over one hundred civil action cases. Mr. He speaks English and Mandarin.

Ms. Qin YANG (Christine)

LL.M. of Law Institute of China Academy of Social Sciences, LL.B. of China Agriculture University, Studied law at University of London; specializing in international banking & financing, project financing, foreign direct investments and M&A. Ms. Yang was directly involved in advising about 10 international syndicated loans and more than 30 international financing projects in various industries like real estate, energy, hi-tech., manufacturing and public works etc, and 12 transnational M&A projects and FDI. She participated and was responsible for the project of stock transfer of Topfond Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd to Sumitomo Corporation, and contributed to the successful closing of this project. Ms. Yang also advised enforcement of international arbitral awards in China. Ms. Yang was involved in editing a Legal Dictionary and Economic Law and published several legal articles. Ms. Yang speaks English and Mandarin.
